Becoming Experts

Taking as its point of departure the theory that all learning is progress from novice to expert (see How People Learn, National Academies Press, 2000), this English 101 Course encouraged each John Jay student to experiment with declaring an area of expertise and using the 101 research paper as a means to exploring and expanding that expertise.
